HYDROSTAR'S VISION
An independently owned and managed British Company, based in Exeter. HydroStar was established in 2009, with the primary goal of producing low-cost, industrial scale Green Hydrogen which is not constrained by the current challenges facing wide scale hydrogen production.
What we mean by this is using widely available and recyclable components within the design, and environmentally safe, Totally Green-Chemistry (TGC) as electrolyte, which we call B9™.
HydroStar Europe has pioneered an innovative NextGen technology that removes the need for highly purified water in hydrogen generation and can match flexibly to fluctuating renewables, all while addressing the 'Energy Trilemma' issues of high security, low cost and environmental sustainability. When we speak of low cost, we're talking about a remarkable 25% reduction in price compared to the current market rates.

Research and Development are at the heart of our business. We regularly collaborate with academics in the field of green hydrogen, and are experts in technology commercialisation and scaling.
We are also passionate about developing young people, providing placement experience and lowering barriers to engagement within STEM by carrying out lectures at universities across the UK.

Balancing these three goals constitutes a ‘Trilemma’ and balanced systems enable prosperity and competitiveness of individual countries’ - World Energy Council 2020.
